It's not even officially summer yet but boy does it already feel like it here in Southcentral Kentucky! Today is a timely "holiday" with it being National Heat Awareness Day. Dogs can overheat more easily than humans, especially brachycephalic breeds. So when it comes to deciding when to take your dog out for a stroll, rollerblade, run, or trot, a good general rule of thumb is this: If the temperature plus humidity added together are greater than 150, it’s too hot for your dog! For example:
