"Parvo" is lethal if left untreated but it's also completely preventable.  We HIGHLY recommend that ALL dogs are examined by a licensed veterinarian and begin their series of vaccinations, including the vaccine for parvovirus, at 6 weeks old. The vaccine should be repeated or "boostered"  EVERY 2-3 weeks thereafter until 15-16 weeks of age.  Some breeds or set of circumstances may lead to the need for an additional parvovirus vaccination beyond 15-16 weeks old.  Please talk with your veterinarian for your specific dog's needs and risk.
