This precious puppy was found alone by the side of a road back in 2010, looking scared and lonesome. We took him into our home, named him Pete, and he quickly became part of our family. For over 15 years he blessed us with love, laughter, and unconditional loyalty. He went on family vacations, attended birthday parties, and loved us through the loss of our older dog, Bud. Pete was loved by everyone who met him, including folks who didn’t particularly care for animals. We miss him deeply every day, but we are thankful for the 15 years he was part of our home. We see Pete in some of the habits of our young dog, Boone, who had the past year to learn from Pete about our routines and expectations. Pete was one-of-a-kind, for sure.
