Dr. Doug Peterson does orthopedic surgery at the Adair County Animal Hospital by appointment. Dr. Peterson's services enable us to offer procedures that otherwise would be unavailable in this area.
Dr. Peterson was born in Lebanon Kentucky. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky receiving a BS in Animal Science. He attended Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he graduated in 1987. He practiced in Houston, TX and Jefferson City, TN before purchasing an Animal Hospital in Bowling Green. He owned that practice for 18 years. Dr. Peterson has 24 years experience in general and orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Peterson is married to Julie Peterson and they have two children. Phillip, 20 is a student at the University of Louisville. Kristen, 17 is a high school senior at South Warren High School. Dr. Peterson is a Hot Air balloon pilot when time allows.
