Community Service and Involvement
In-School Career Days
Drs. Shantila Rexroat and Sonya Akers regularly visit the elementary, middle, and high schools around the area to educate our kids and community about what veterinarians really do and how to best take care of our animals. Animal healthcare is an integral part of human healthcare!

International
We are also partnered up to give back to pets and their owners in Africa! For every Rabies vaccine given to a pet at Adair County Animal Hospital or Laker Vet Care, a dog or cat in Africa also receives their Rabies vaccine.

Rabies Vaccine Clinics
Currently, we hold Rabies vaccine clinics twice a year. Typically the first full weeks of May and October. During these times, one year Rabies vaccines are given by our licensed veterinarians at a reduced rate to encourage our community to provide this required vaccine to all animals on their property. We believe animal health and human health go hand in hand.
